Powis Castle
A must for anybody visiting Wales, especially mid Wales, Powis Castle near Welshpool is one of pure historic and beautiful delight. The castle itself is steeped in history furnished with paintings, furniture and other artifacts along with the Clive of India museum.

Glansevern Hall Gardens
Over 25 acres of glorious gardens surrounding a Greek revival house of great elegance on the banks of the River Severn.
The gardens are noted for their collection of unusual trees, many in a lakeside setting. Closer to the house are formal gardens with lawns, herbaceous beds and borders.
After exploring the gardens pop into the tearoom and gallery for some lunch or a well deserved cup of tea and slice of home-made cake.

Montgomery
Montgomery is an historic county town of Montgomeryshire with a history that stretches back to Roman occupation. The 13th century Montgomery Castle dominates the skyline and is surrounded by the rolling Mid Wales Marches countryside.

Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway
The journey begins on the edge of Welshpool and takes the traveller through charming rural patchwork of Mid Wales, winding its way along the river Banwy into Llanfair Caereinion.
The open balconied carriages provide the traveller with a unique view on this scenic journey through a truly idyllic landscape.

Dingle Gardens
The internationally acclaimed, RHS partner garden at the Dingle is the lifetime work of Barbara and Roy Joseph. The 4.5 acre garden is run by her grandson Duncan and his wife Clare, with the support of the Joseph family.
